Although the holiday season will look a little different this year, it’s already time to start thinking about what to buy our loved ones. Or if you’re like me and have no idea what you want, take a look at this list for some inspiration. Online shopping is definitely the move this year, as the thought of being in crowded, hot stores with the pandemic going on makes me cringe.
Some of these products are ones I bought on my own over the past year and some are gifts that I got to try out through my Instagram. The beauty of this is that I get to see what I like and don’t like so I know if I can recommend it to people or not. All of the items on this list, sponsored or not, have brought me happiness in my daily life.
Backyard Beans Coffee
Is there any better gift for a caffeine addict than high-quality, responsibly-sourced coffee? As their brand ambassador, I have tried a variety of their roasts, from the dark “Punch in the Face” to the light Ethiopian blend, and love them all! I can really tell the difference between this brand and the store-bought K-cup brands I would usually use. You can buy them bagged as beans or ground specifically for your type of coffee maker. For someone with a Keurig like me, I recommend these reusable cups for brewing the coffee. In the DMV area, Backyard Beans bags are now available at Sprouts, MOM’s, and Whole Foods, or order online for nationwide shipping. From November 26 to December 1, all roasts, teas, and merchandise are 20% off and shipping is free on purchases over $50!
Consider buying a loved one this extra unique gift; in fact, no two Fab Slabs are the same! They are handmade in Australia from a single slab of timber and not only look incredible, but bring a natural, herbal scent that is sure to impress. These boards are naturally and permanently anti-bacterial thanks to the oils and tight grains in the wood. It can be a cutting board or a serving platter, and a slab this beautiful is essential in every kitchen. Use code FABSLABSDEAL at checkout for 20% off.
Another cooking essential? A sharp knife! Chopping has never been easier with my new Nakano Japanese chef’s knife. It slices through everything, from firm sweet potatoes to juicy tomatoes. Not to mention the wood design on the blade is gorgeous! By ordering through this link, you can access a free e-book for every knife purchase from International Michelin Chef Steven Meese. Additionally, you will be able to access a holiday voucher worth $14 by entering code KELSEY at checkout!
VINPOP Wine Popcorn
One of the best snack items I got to try this year was gifted to me from VINPOP. This gluten-free and vegan popcorn is so addictive, and that’s not just because it’s coated in wine. The alcohol evaporates out during the cooking process, leaving behind the sugars for a nice sweet and salty popcorn. You can get flavors like rosé, champagne, and the newest one, prosecco!
Small succulent pots
If you know a plant parent, they will for sure appreciate these simple and sleek pots! They come in packs of four or six and are 3.15 inches in diameter—the perfect size for small succulents or propagations you may be trying to grow. There is a drainage hole on the bottom and they sit on a wooden dish, so they are practical and will match any kind of decor.
I don’t know how I ever lived without a sherpa fleece. I got my first one last year, and it kept me so cozy and warm all winter long. I was thrilled to see this adorable print available this year from American Eagle, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to buy another one! It’s super soft and I love the festive pattern.
Cooking Panda Mystery Box
Cooking Panda just launched its second mystery box and was kind enough to ship me one so I could experience it for myself! It is full of wonderful products for you to get a variety of tastes, from Korean BBQ marinade to parmesan cheese crisp bars to Michelada mix. It has beer salt that goes perfectly in my gose-style sours and savory mochi bites for the ideal snack. The foodie in your life is sure to be in heaven opening this box and checking out all it has to offer inside.
I’ve had the pleasure of trying quite a few tasty desserts through my Instagram business, but the one that sticks in my mind the most is Killer Brownie’s unbelievably decadent bars. You have to have a sweet tooth for these, but they are truly some of the best baked goods I’ve ever tasted. My personal favorite flavor was the confetti because I am not a crazy chocolate person (I know, *gasp*), but I also loved the salted caramel and cookie dough brownies. Check their website to see if they are in a store near you, or order online for nationwide shipping.
In need of a good stocking stuffer? The Java Sok is excellent for Starbucks, Dunkin’, or any other kind of drink runs. These are specifically made to fit the sizes of cups you usually use, so I bought the medium-sized ones to fit grande and venti Starbucks cups and medium Dunkin’ cups. As someone who usually orders her drinks iced, I love how the Java Sok absorbs the condensation so my hand doesn’t get all wet. And for hot drinks, it acts as a sleeve to keep you from burning your hands. They come in three different sizes and a variety of colors.
Heated mattress pad
I can’t stand sleeping with the heat on, even though I get cold at night, because it dries me out. A heated mattress pad is perfect because it just keeps the bed warm, not the air. I had one on my twin bed for years and once I upgraded to a queen, I couldn’t resist buying a new one. The only problem is you won’t want to get out of bed in the morning!
This may be an offensive gift depending on who you buy it for, but if you’re on here looking for something to add to your own list of things you want to ask for, this one is for you. My dentist recommended this to me, and I feel so good about myself when I’m using it. No one wants to floss, but there’s something about buying a fancy gadget to help you get the job done that actually motivates you to do it. I have a portable Water Pik for my on-the-go lifestyle, but if you don’t travel very often, the countertop version with the larger water tank is probably a better bet.
I’ve gone through quite a few sleep masks in my life, but this one is by far the best! Because there are indentations for the eyes, you don’t have to worry about it brushing up against your lashes or pushing your eyes shut. The material is comforting and cooling, and I’ve actually managed to sleep on multiple flights with this, which is a miracle for me!
